Hi, anonymous users can send us Q&A without completing required fields. How can I prevent this to happen? All necessary fields need to be completed before they are sent to us.

Have you tried the following change (combined with a condition so that the change only kicks in when some mandatory question is missing)?

Just to be clear here: a required field doesn’t have a function then, apart from “marking” it as such, if I do not add additional functions?
Setting a field to “mandatory” indeed merely marks it to be taken into account for the required answers.
If one of those questions misses an answer, then some secondary effects kick in, e.g.
- the message “Some mandatory questions are not answered” (assuming that’s not disabled in the Q&A options)
- the exports flagged in the “Change the save / export settings” get disabled

Following up on @sebastian’s post (I’m part of his team): after applying all the changes you described, an anonymous user can still submit answeres w/o answering mandatory questions in the Q&A and close them. Have there been any recent changes to the software? Or do I need to adjust additional settings in the document?

The software didn’t change on this point since December, this seemed to be a bug that’s been hiding for quite some years.
Can you check again whether it now works? If not, please let me know by private email the name of the Q&A in which you’re trying to get the behaviour implemented.
Hello! Now it works the opposite way: After applying all the changes described above, an anonymous user can’t submit their answers, even when all mandatory questions in the Q&A are answered.
This seems to be an issue affecting all Q&As, not just a specific one.
