Binders: title numbering cross referenced to an article

Hi all,

I am looking for a solution for the following:

Basis:
There is a binder, with different annexes. The number of the annex should be linked to the (sub)article where the annex was mentioned the first time in the text.

For example:
Art. 1 - General: This agreement relates to the purchase of wood;
Art. 2 - Products:
2.1. The products concern wood.
2.2. The minimum purchase volume is 2.000kg of wood, as per specified in “Annex 2.2. - MPV Wood”

Annex number should be dynamic and linked to whichever is written in article x.2.

Extra dimension:
Art. 2 - Products will not always be enabled. Scenarios are possible where the cross reference will have to be made in (e.g.) Art. 3 - Minimum Order Quantity.
Do I just make a duplicate of the annex, enabling it with the same conditions a for the article?

Thanks for your insights.

Hi Tom,

This can indeed be done. Typically the subdocuments in a binder would receive their title from the title(s) entered into the binder tab, because under that tab the option ‘Print title’ was checked.

However, you can also uncheck ‘Print title’ and add a title manually using a library (or ad hoc) clause. In that case, you can freely enter whichever dynamic text you want in the clause and style that clause as a document title using the clause’s custom styling settings.

In this way, you can include a cross-reference to the relevant clause number (using e.g. @ref-relevant-contex(§insert-crosstag-here)).

The annex will then have a cross-reference in the title to the relevant clause number, which also automatically updates.

Hope this helps!
