Connection between datafields/clauses and questions gets lost

Hi there,

for whatever reason the connection between some concepts/datafields and the respective Q&A get lost. This happens several times, and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

The following is the usecase:

  1. I have a document with a concept “#client^legalform”
  2. I have created a question in the Q&A on the basis of this datafield, with the following ‘list of text’ datafield (see left pane on the following screenshot) (before that I simply used it as a simple text field)

  1. For whatever reason, in the ‘Batch create’ pane, the datafield appears again.

  2. on the right pane (“Conditions & Options”) it asks me to select a clause in the document pane. I’d totally do that, but I have no idea how it works.

Can you explain how this works?

How can I prevent that the connection gets lost?

The same applies to other datafields, e.g. “#data^logfiles” is also placed as question in the Q/A. But it has no impact on the created document.

Hi Sebastian,

From your screenshot, it appears that the question “Welche Rechtsform hat Ihr Unternehmen?” is a ‘single-select’ text question, i.e. it takes only one value. If you actually did replace the original #client^legalform text datafield with a new list of texts datafield, then it will effectively no longer be a valid choice for that question as list of texts datafields require multi-select questions by nature.

You can change the text question to cater for a list of texts datafields by going into the question options and changing the Answers setting from One to Multiple:

However, from the question text itself (i.e. which legal form the enterprise has) it seems to me that you still just require a simple text datafield instead of a list of texts datafield as an enterprise has just one legal form (correct me if I am wrong here!).
