Is there a way to have the definition links point to a specific subsection of a clause rather than the whole clause? If not, please treat it as feature request ![]()
Hi Gil,
That’s not possible through the automatic definitions system. You may however want to experiment with the various special-functions for references.
An alternative approach could be to subdivide your target-clause into separate files, so that you point to a specific subsection. That’s the usual answer to the question whether you can cross-reference to a sub-section of a clause.
So is there a function I can use to have a definition pointing to that specific subclause.
No, there is no function that you can use to refer to an individual paragraph of a clause. The only solution would be to split the ‘full’ clause into multiple clause files, and to assign a ‘Definition for’-link (or a cross-tag, in case you want to use a manual cross-reference) to the clause containing the relevant paragraph.
