Pagination control

Can I start a file pagination after the table of contents?

Normally we like the first page of our content to be the first numbered page such that, the cover and the table of contents are not counted.

Is there a function to do that?

Thanks!

There is no option to tweak the numbering itself so that an arbitrary page in the document (other than the actual first page) is numbered “1”.

However you can configure a document to display the page numbering from a specific page. That is done using a binder that includes documents as follows:

  • first document in the binder (e.g. containing the front page & TOC) does not have page numbering in its own ‘Page’ styling setting
  • second document in the binder (e.g. containing the agreement body) has page numbering configured in its own ‘Page’ styling setting
  • the binder itself should not have page numbering configured

When exporting this binder, the page numbering then will start displaying from the place in the document that corresponds to the second Clause9 document in the binder.
